FCT, Abuja – Ahead of the 2027 election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recognised Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as the national chairman and national secretary, respectively, of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
As reported by Nigerian Tribune, INEC equally recognised other interim national officers of the opposition party.

Other principal officers now officially recognised by the electoral body are a former Edo governor, Oserheimen Osunbor, as national legal adviser; Ibrahim Mani as national treasurer, and Akibu Dalhatu as national financial secretary.
Also part of the ADC coalition are former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party (LP) chieftain Peter Obi, a former governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai; and a former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who were present at the unveiling in July.
Reacting to INEC’s recognition of the Mark-led ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s national spokesperson, expressed his absolute delight.
